Guess the Spot

How to play

1. A new mystery photo goes up each week, with a hint.
2. Send your guess with the form. One guess per person each week. If you send more than one, only your first counts.
3. Guesses close on day 7. That day the answer and everyone's guesses go up here, with first name and last initial only.
4. The winner is drawn at random from all the right guesses. Right means the actual spot, or close enough that you clearly knew it. We make the final call.
5. Winners are named here and in the weekly newsletter.
6. Kids under 13 can play. A parent sends the guess.
7. Your email or phone is never shown. We only use it to tell you if you won.

Sending in your own spot

• It has to be a photo you took.
• It has to be somewhere anyone can go or see: a public place, a trail, or a spot you can see from the road. No one's private yard but your own.
• If we use your spot, you get credit, and you can't guess that week.

Stump the Valley

Have a spot that will fool everyone? Send a photo you took and the answer. We'll feature community spots with your name.
