Things you send us

This includes photos, contest entries, Guess the Spot guesses and spots, check-ins, reviews, comments, reports, and event, business or artist information.

• You keep ownership. What you create stays yours.
• You give us permission to share it in these places only: this website, our weekly email newsletter, and the Ogden Valley Info & Events Facebook and Instagram pages, with credit to you. It's free, and you can ask us to take it down at any time.
• We won't sell it or use it in ads.
• Art puzzles: if you're an artist and say yes to "puzzle" on the artist form, we may turn your picture into an on-screen jigsaw puzzle on this site, shown with your name, bio and links. You can say no, or ask us to remove it any time.
• Musician profiles: your bio, photo and show dates may be featured as Musician of the Week. Your contact info is shown only if you choose "Yes, show my contact info" for private events.
• You confirm it's yours to share, it follows the community rules, and it's true to the best of your knowledge.
• We decide what gets posted. We read everything first. Anything that breaks the rules is not posted.

Contests and rewards

No purchase is needed to enter any contest. Winners are chosen as described on each contest page and announced on the site and in the newsletter. Check-in rewards are based on the number of approved check-ins, never on whether a review is positive or negative.

Ages and kids' work

You must be 13 or older to send anything in. If you're under 18, please have a parent's permission. A parent or guardian may send in a younger child's coloring page or photo; we show it with only a first and last initial and a city, never a full name, school or face.

Information on this site

Event details come from organizers, and safety information comes from official sources that we gather automatically. It can be out of date. Always check with organizers, and always follow instructions from emergency officials. In an emergency, call 911.

Listing updates

Business, restaurant and artist listings are free, photos included. Fixing hours, phone numbers, websites or marking a place closed is always free. Each listing gets one free photo update a year. After that, changes to photos or the description are $15 each. To ask for an update, email ogdenvalleyevent@gmail.com, and we'll reply with what's included and how to pay if there's a fee.

Taking things down

We may update these terms. The newest version is always on this page.
