Tips for a dark-sky night

Get away from porch lights and town. Pullouts above Pineview, and the roads toward the North Fork, are popular. Please stay off private land.

Give your eyes 20 minutes to adjust, and use a red light. For the northern lights, face north and take a few-second phone photo in night mode. The camera often sees color your eyes can't.

North Fork Park, just past Liberty, is a designated International Dark Sky Park.
